Do not buy an LG refrigerator!

Okay, everyone. This is our LG refrigerator. Never buy an LG. They're terrible. Poor design, combined with nonexistent support. We're lucky we've gotten nearly ten years out of it. So many people get much less.
It started with water leaking from the bottom. Well, that was because they didn't bother to make sure the copper drain pipe had a heating strip on it, meaning it freezes up. And all that ice grows. And grows. Until there's a plain of ice on the bottom of the freezer that melts during the defrost cycle, thus the leak.

Hubby fixed that. He's a good engineer. And he even made sure that the drain pipe wouldn't freeze up again (seriously cheap heating wire). But, apparently LGs engineers STILL aren't doing that? After thousands of complaints? Whatever.
Now it's started something far worse. It takes some error at some point and then just stops cooling. All we know is that when we open it, things are warm and the temp reports 'Er'. It's such a lovely thing to wake up for your morning coffee and have congealed milk. A power cycle resets it, but I can't afford to be opening my fridge every hour night and day to figure out if its done its trick again.

So, long story short, do not buy LG. It'd be different if this was a one-off. If we got a lemon, then, okay. Shit happens. But this isn't that.

Be warned. And if you do have an LG, watch out for these things.

Fandom/Universe: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., White Collar
Characters/Pairings: Melinda May, Mama May, Diana Berrigan, barely there Melinda/Diana
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Word Count: 2,312
Summary: Melinda's sixteenth year was both one of the best and worst of her life. She was forced to leave her newly found home, leaving behind her first crush only to find Diana whose smile made the world bright again.
Beta: Both hitlikehammers and abigail89 read through this for me. Thank you both so much! Of course, I can't help but fiddle afterwards, so any mistakes are all on me.
A/N: This is for clio who had the utterly brilliant idea that Melinda could have met Diana somewhere along the way in one of the many embassies or consulates she lived in. I fell hard for the idea so this is the result. Also, happy belated birthday, m'dear. I really did try to get it done, but the muses and R/L are not kind.

Title: Mixed Up Tea Leaves
Authors: weepingnaiad
Fandom/Universe: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Characters/Pairings: Melinda May, Melinda May's Mother, Original Characters, Peggy Carter, Phil Coulson, Melinda May & Ling May, hint of Melinda May/Phil Coulson
Rating: PG
Warnings: None
Word Count: 5,866
Summary: Four times Ling May saves Melinda and one time Melinda saves her.
Beta: Both hitlikehammers and abigail89 read through this for me. Thank you both so much! Of course, I can't help but fiddle afterwards, so any mistakes are all on me.
A/N: So many notes. Sorry.
1) Melinda May's mom has not been given a name apparently. And, because I don't like to do things the easy way, I've given her two names in this story (the reason will be evident). Ultimately, she becomes Ling since that was Tsai Chin's character's name in "You Only Live Twice" (where she was an MI-6 double agent that helped Bond fake his death).
2) I do try to be considerate and accurate with names, but, again, the internet is my source and we all know what happens if you trust the internet 100%. MI-6 names, Girl names, Surnames.
3) The title is from "If The Brakeman Turns My Way" by Bright Eyes, suggested to me by hitlikehammers who is my go to person for inspirational pieces.
4) Written in the marvel_poc exchange for ladydeathfaerie. I hope she enjoys this. It is not the one I intended (and started) writing, but the muses for the other story threw up their hands and went on strike when the backstory took over. I do hope this pleases. I do plan to finish the first story at some point as well, time willing.

FIC: He ate my heart then he ate my brain, 1/1, PG-13

I've now reverted to an unpaid account and after winnowing my userpics down to 60 from over 200, the abrupt change down to 15 is just too much suckage for me to bother with right now. So, I don't have any Marvel icons available. I'm seriously contemplating a permanent move to DW now, which I've threatened before, but this place is a ghost town and I only post fic so not sure why I'm doubting the choice. Watch this space because I'll notify folks if/when I do (I'd still crosspost, not that folks are reading stuff here anyway. But, you know, for completeness.)

Title: He ate my heart then he ate my brain
Fandom/Universe: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel Cinematic Universe
Characters/Pairings: John Garrett, Grant Ward, implied Clint Barton/Natasha Romanoff, implied Clint Barton/Phil Coulson
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: None, really
Word Count: 1,134 words
Summary: Ward reports to Garrett that he didn't complete his first objective on Coulson's team. The answer why surprises him. His next objective surprises him even more.
Beta: My dearest, abigail89, gave this a once over for me. Of course, I can't help but fiddle afterwards, so any mistakes are all on me.
A/N: This satisfies my trope_bingo square: matchmaker. Title taken from Lady Gaga's "Monster".

Characters/Pairings: Phil Coulson, John Garrett, Nick Fury, Felix Blake
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: None
Word Count: 1,117 words
Summary: When Phil Coulson first meets John Garrett he's pretty sure Garrett's an asshole.
Beta: Both hitlikehammers and abigail89 read through this for me. Thank you both so much! Of course, I can't help but fiddle afterwards, so any mistakes are all on me.
A/N: More of my Phil pheels. And, yes, I completely disregarded the canon that Fury recruited Phil directly out of high school. He's still young here, but Phil's a Ranger, dammit! Credit for the title goes to abigail89 because I suck at titles. Lastly this satisfies my trope_bingo square: rites of passage / coming of age.

FIC: Leave us Innocent, 1/1, PG-13

Just had to deal with some feelings after seeing the trailer for Agents of SHIELD episode 20 'Nothing Personal' and probably also some pheels left over from episode 19: 'The Only Light in the Darkness'. I have far too many emotions about this show and especially one Phil Coulson.

Title: leave us innocent

Characters/Pairings: Phil Coulson, Jemma Simmons, Leo Fitz, Antoine Triplett, Glenn Talbot, Maria Hill
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: none, really
Word Count: 2,244 words
Summary: Maria Hill rats Phil and his team and the secret base out to Colonel Glenn Talbot. For Phil that's the last straw.
Beta: My greatest gratitude goes to hitlikehammers for the support and awesome beta skills. Thank you, m'dear! If you do see errors, they're all on me because I fiddle after she looked through it.
A/N: I just had to write something to deal with all my pheels that Maria sold Phil out. This satisfies my hurt-comfort bingo square: arrest. The title is once again taken from Tracy Chapman's "In the Dark".

Warnings: none, really
Word Count: 2,612 words
Summary: When Phil wakes, he's disoriented, his head spinning, stomach trying to climb its way out of his throat, and he's naked. Too bad he's not alone and, even worse, finds himself handcuffed to Agent Melinda May. Did he mention that he's naked?
Beta: My greatest gratitude goes to abigail89's awesome beta skills. Thank you, m'dear! As ever, I couldn't have done this without you! If you do see errors, they're all on me because I fiddle after she looked through it.

Rating: R
Series/Fandom: Star Trek AOS
Word Count: 5,853
Beta: As ever, my brain twin, and soul sister, abigail89, wrangled my words into something readable and coherent, and all at the very last minute because I am the worst procrastinator EVER. Thank you, m'dear. But, of course, I fiddle even after posting, so any mistakes are all on me.
Content Advisory: none, really
Summary: Under the triple moons of an unfamiliar world Leonard witnesses as Jim finally lets his inner beast roam free.
A/N: This is for the "Sweethearts Challenge" over at jim_and_bones. My prompt from Bones' POV was: MOON BEAM: Night time, on a planet, is Leonard's favorite; not just because of what they get up to, but because he likes seeing Jim's golden body limned in silver (or blue or orange or red) moonlight. It also fills my trope bingo transformations square.

Rating: PG-13
Series/Fandom: Star Trek AOS Fairytale AU
Word Count: 12,811
Beta: As ever, my brain twin, and soul sister, abigail89, wrangled my words into something readable and coherent, despite the heavy prose. I will never be able to convey my gratitude, bb. But, of course, I fiddle even after posting, so any mistakes are all on me. I also have to give credit where it's due. This fic would never have been finished and posted if it was not for hitslikehammers. She has cajoled and pushed and been a wonderfully supportive sounding board. Not to mention all of the alpha reading she's provided. Seriously, both of you are the wind beneath my wings. (It's cheesy, I know. But I adore you both!)
